Robert Lamont is a musical director and composer working in New York City. Born in Canada, he has musical directed Here’s Love!, the Miracle on 34th Street musical with Debbie Gravitte at the Lucille Lortel, the New York premiere of Reunion, A Civil War Musical and produced its cast recording and King Of Hearts (Musicals Tonight!). He was Musical Coordinator for Weill Style, A Centenary Gala Benefit (BAM) and provided musical direction, arrangements and original music for Drama Dept.’s, June Moon (Drama Desk nomination, Best Revival). For his work in the last production, The New York Times' Vincent Canby wrote June Moon "must stand out as one of the delicious revelations of the current season" and that "Robert Lamont . . . is worth his own paragraph" and Ben Brantley called Robert Lamont’s musical direction, “seamless.”
