American songwriter, guitarist, vocalist, and former principal of Sharpe Elementary School in Memphis, Tennessee. Miller started writing songs as a hobby, and according to his own words, didn't start writing seriously until around 1972. His songs have been recorded mostly by country musicians, including Ronnie Milsap, Conway Twitty, Mickey Gilley, [a506917], Sammi Smith, Gary Stewart, and Charly McClain. In 1979, Miller founded Foxfire (3) together with two of his songwriting partners from Nashville, Russ Allison and [a766115]. In the late 1980s he collaborated with songwriter/producer Joe H.
