Guitarist and vocalist in the Austin, Texas area. Originally from Houston, where he played in high school bands. Jakle moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas but became involved in the music scene and began playing full time, joining bands like The Recipients, Drs' Mob, Alamo Choir, Sons of Sam, and The Lawnmowers. Jakle returned to college, earning degrees in RTF and Audio Engineering then worked for several years in studios (Sugar Hill and Cook Sound and Picture Works) engineering and producing albums and commercial spots. He founded South Congress Distillery in 2009 and created White Hat Rum. After the distillery flooded during the great Memorial Day flood of 2015, he opened Round Mountain Distilling in Round Mountain TX and produces XXVIII Premium Texas Rum. He also plays with the Spicewood cover band, The Square Grooves. He hosts an annual event called Jellyfest, where his childhood friends descend on Austin to write music and play over the course of a long weekend.
