Melody and groove blend together as one with Day Of Contents heavy riffage and melodic leads. Day Of Content is based in Maryborough QLD and was formed in late 2016 when Garth Douglass met guitarist Cody Hodges in the local music store. The pair then got together and wrote 4 songs for a debut E.P launch. With the songs written other members were required to fill the other important roles in the band. William Ford was recruited for his soaring leads and old-school style to add extra a dynamic to what was a primarily Deathcore/Metalcore style. Not long after finding Will, Simon Smith joined the band to fill the role of bass guitar to bring a fuller sound to the music. Unfortunately, Will had to depart from the band due to personal reasons so with a little shuffle around the band Simon took over for will on guitar. Quang Le was recruited to fill the bass role bringing his dynamic and energetic feel to the bass . Tristan Rath joined to complete the sound with his dynamic vocal range from piercing highs to roaring lows. Jake Whitney soon took over for drums in February 2018 but passed the role onto Brett Kernke in early 2020. So as it currently stands, Day of Content's current line up consists of: Vocals: Tristan Rath Lead Guitar: Simon Smith Rhythm Guitar: Cody Hodges Bass: Quang Lee Drums: Brett Kernke The first song released to the public (Obsession) found immediate success by reaching No1 on the Triple J Unearthed metal charts within 3 weeks in July 2017. Day Of Content performed their debut show at Metal United Down Under Hervey bay on the 15th of September 2017 and offically launched their E.P "Isolation" on the 2nd of February 2018 and has since played a multitude of shows around South East and Central QLD. In August 2019 Day Of Content supported POLARIS in Rockhampton on their regional North QLD tour to a sold out crowd of 300.
