Ojee

Los Angeles based indie-dub duo of Eric Green and Brian Campbell. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Brian Campbell and Eric Green (the duo who are Ojee) eventually found themselves down in Los Angeles. Here they further developed their sound, but the feeling of the wilderness remained. Finally there came "Ojee Walk Upright", the recently recorded debut album. The sound of Ojee can most accurately be described as indie dub-rock. Their songs combine reggae rhythms and basslines with folky vocal harmonies, weaving through a steady rock beat. Existence, self-reflection, and human nature are the focus of the lyrics. Three of their biggest influences throughout the years have been Lee "Scratch" Perry, Donovan, and Beck.
