Formed in 1996 in the San Francisco East Bay, Wit's End is a hard rock band that will never take no for an answer. Wit's End believes that the keys to success include hard work, constant performing, relentless guerrilla promotion and the will to fight. In 1998 Wit's End released their first E.P., "Walking Under Ladders". It contained 4 songs and sold a little over 100 copies. Undaunted, Wit's End returned to the studio and released their second effort, "40mg", in 2000. This E.P was met with better success, and culminated in the sale of 500 units. Continuing to perform anywhere and everywhere, Wit's End managed to catch the eye of veteran Bay Area producer Bill Cutler. Their collaboration with Bill led to the release of their first full length record, "Mental Catastrophes". "Mental Catastrophes" has sold nearly 1000 copies since it's' release in late 2003 and has helped to generate some buzz for the band. "Mental Catastrophes" has received airplay on Live 105's Local Lounge show, and several songs are currently in rotation on The Local Band Show on 90.5 KVHS. A selection from the CD is also available on the "Best of NorCal 2004 Compilation", distrbuted by Agent Records. Wit's End can also be seen on the "Live at iMusicast 1.0" DVD; performing along with some of the best bands the East Bay has to offer. Wit's End is currently writing and preparing new material for their next release.
