The Quatermass Xperiment are a three piece band, fusing elements of Noise-rock, Dance, Drone, Psychedelic Rock and Experimental music, in a highly improvisational way. The band formed Originally In February 2008, consisting of Adam Pollard (Percussion, Samples, Keys) and Mark Roberts (27) (Keys, found sounds, Samples, Noise), before being Joined By David Wilbraham (Drums), who completed the line-up in August 2008. The band made its first recordings in October 2008, creating a three track EP (recorded live without overdubs) which was limited to 150 and given out for free, and released a more fleshed-out demo EP on March 29th, 2009, consisting of three tracks and a sound collage. On September 6th, 2010 the band released their first Proper Mini-Album, The Quatermass Xperiment on iTunes et al, as well as in limited-edition physical copies coming in a CD/DVD Box set with hand-painted artwork.
