Professor of Cello at University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. Active chamber musician and member of the York-Biran Duo with pianist Dror Biran. Champion of contemporary music who has recorded the cello concertos of Grawemeyer-winning composers Karel Husa and Witold Lutosławski as well as commissioned works by Stefan Freund, David Maslanka, Douglas Knehans, Jeremy Beck, Marc Satterwhite, Steve Rouse, Paul Brink, Rene Orth, and Frederick Speck.
