Dave "DJ" Johnson

Drummer in Austin, Texas. Raised in Akron, Ohio, where he played with the Firestone High School Marching, Jazz and Concert/Symphonic bands. He attended Hampton University as part of the Marching Force marching band. After college, he moved to New Jersey and worked part-time as a studio drummer, while playing live with several New York City based bands. In 2004 he moved to Dallas, Texas. where he played with several local projects before founding the instrumental band Coalition. In 2006 he moved to Austin, Texas, where he has played with the bands Ugly Elephant, Hatch, Mojo Chyld, Ryan Kennedy & The Green River Revival, and the backing band for his wife Stephanie Grissett.
