Early jazz trumpeter from the 20s also listed on Richard J. Johnson & Bernard H. Shirley's book "American Dance Bands On Record & Film: 1915-1942" (Rustbooks, 2010) as Andy Bosseau. Born in Iowa on November 29 of 1897, Bossen's first recordings were in New York on 1924 with Bill Perry (9)'s Orchestra for the NYRL group (including Paramount, Puritan, etc.) & Frank Silver's Orchestra for Edison. From then, Bossen had an interesting recording career that included working with the bands of Nathan Glantz, Ben Selvin, Harry Reser (including his Clicquot Club Eskimos), [a1208281], the Green Brothers' Novelty Band (and separate units directed by Joe Green (6) & George Hamilton Green), Thomas/Tom "Spatty" Timothy's Frivolity Club Orchestra & many more. He retired with his wife Dorothy Bossen to Broward, Florida, where he died on August of 1982, with Dorothy preceding him 6 years before in the same place on April of 1976.
