Human Head Transplant was founded in 1984 as a renegade electronics trio, and continued to perform until the early 1990's. The Denver, Colorado based Human Head Transplant created a well-defined niche on the North American underground. Employing a unique blend of exotic rhythms, lush soundscapes and complex computer arrangements, HHT offered a dynamic tour-de-force performance style that enthralled audiences nationwide. With only a handful of releases to their credit, HHT functioned primarily as a live group, having performed over 50 concerts, media events and radio broadcasts with such noted acts as [a38794], The Haters, Gerechtigkeits Liga, Monochrome Bleu, Crash Worship, Hunting Lodge, and Psychic TV. Their music was best described as the unity of chaos and the elegance, a sonic map charting the DMZ between tranquilly and turmoil.
