Shows

Born in the era of pandemic frustration, Shows began as an off the cuff recording project between Ned Brash (Brett Nash of Secret Guest), Dillard Dickens (Dylan Dickerson of Dear Blanca) and Barshall Mrown (Marshall Brown). In roughly a week’s time the project went from a thought thrown out in a text thread to a full-fledged debut EP titled ‘Dalmatian Rock’. In the years since, the band has grown to be a sextet featuring Cam Powell (Dear Blanca, Stagbriar) on bass, Jared Pyritz (King Vulture) on guitar and keys, and Sir Clay White (The Explorers Club, The High Divers) on trumpet/percussion. The band has adopted the narrative of being ex-house painters turned musicians and their live shows are part performance art, part circus act. The band released their third EP 'Contractual Obligation' on July 7th, 2023.
