Hardcore, Drum & Bass, House DJ from Peterborough, England, United Kingdom. DJ Stylus bought his first pair of decks in 1995 after being introduced to the scene by a friend and has since gone from strength to strength. After moving to Lincolnshire he opened a record shop with Hardcore MC, WhizzKid, called TNT. As his reputation grew he was scouted to write a music column for a popular local newspaper reviewing new releases in the music scene. By 1997 he was promoting many regular events including a prestigious drinks launch for KWL, and several large and successful underground raves, co promoted with brother Alex (Eddy M) (AudioJunkie). Stylus was also performing regularly at local clubs and parties, usually performing alongside Eddy, establishing a dedicated following. By 1999 Stylus had begun producing his own music, experimenting with Drum and Bass, Hardcore, House and Hip Hop, developing his techniques as a producer. He formed a Hip Hop crew with Eddy M, and following the success of their entry in the 2000 MOBO unsigned competition began appearing on radio shows including BBC Radio Lincolnshire and Lincoln based Siren FM. By 2001 Stylus was regularly performing at clubs countrywide and festivals including 'Mella Yella' and 'Market Rasen Festival', and had secured a residency at Po Na Na. Stylus would frequently include his own personal productions in his set, to an enthusiastic audience, focusing particularly on dance music. He has performed alongside top artists such as Sy, Storm, Grooverider, and Kenny Ken. Currently Stylus has been focusing on production work in his studio. He regularly co-produces with brother Eddy (AudioJunkie) , and engineers vocal recordings, some of which have featured on compilations such as 'Hardcore Nation 3'. He also recently wrote, co-performed and recorded vocals for a short British film called 'Carjack'. Stylus draws his influence from everywhere ranging from the hip hop sounds of Wu Tang Clan right through to hardcore artists such as Gammer, Dougal and Hixxy. His brother Eddy (AudioJunkie) and his close friend MC WhizzKid have also been a constant source of inspiration throughout his musical career.
