Yilma Gebraab is the greatest song writer in the history of Ethiopian music. He wrote music for the likes of Aregahegn Worash, Asefu Debalke, Aster Aweke, Bertukan Dubale, Bezawork Asfaw, Bezuayehu Demissie, Ephrem Tamiru, Fekereaddis Nekatebeb, Haileyesus Girma, Hamelmal Abate, Jano, Kennedy Mengesha, Kuku Sebsebe, Madingo Afework, Mahmoud Ahmed, Martha Ashagari, Muluken Mellesse, Netsanet Mellesse, Neway Debebe, Rahel Yohannes, Shewandagne Hailu, Tefera Negash, Teshome Aseged, Theodros Kassahun, Theodros Tadesse, Tilahun Gessesse, Tsegaye Eshetu, Tsehay Yohannes and many others. His collaboration with his long time writing partner Abebe Melese produced the most popular songs in the history of Ethiopian music.
