Les Wawanko
Настоящее имя: Les Wawanko
Об исполнителе:
The name "Les Wawanko" derives from the Afro-Cuban rhythm "guaguanco" (which is pronounced almost like a W). Luc and Lise Cousineau have always loved Latin music and it would be Michel "Toubabou" Séguin ([a451939]) who would have introduced them to this rhythm. Michel Séguin had already played with them on the album "Tout Le Monde Est Heureux Ou La Petite Histoire Du Québec". So the name of the band is probably a little humor for the release of this 45RPM. According to Lise Cousineau, the Wawanko group consisted of: - Red Mitchell (1971-1973) on guitar. - Chris Castle (1972-1973) on drums. - René Hébert (1970-1973) on bass.
