INVAIN was born out of New Orleans in late 1999 when four high school friends got together to start a band. They rehearsed and wrote material for 6 months before playing their first show at a hole in the wall in April of 2000. While playing to a packed bar full of screaming friends (at this point they had no fans,) INVAIN discovered their true love for not only the music they were playing but also for the live show. Ever since, INVAIN has been known to be highly personal, energetic, and explosive on stage. After 2 years of playing medium size clubs, in a mediocre New Orleans rock scene, the House of Blues started booking them to open for national touring acts. This was also the time that they took their show on the road. They began doing more out of town dates in regional cities. Then in the summer of 2003 INVAIN drove to Dallas to record their self-titled demo at the Panhandle House Studio with producer C. Joseph and engineer Eric Herbst. After a quick line up change in early 2005, acquiring Austin drummer Joey Paiz; INVAIN is now extensively touring the south promoting their demo, and building a bigger fan base. Opening up for such national acts as Drowning Pool, Queensryche, Shinedown, Cold, Hed P.E., 30 Seconds to Mars, Flaw, Mushroomhead, Soulfly, 12 Stones, and Social Burn over the years has recently caught the attention of Jager Music which is now a proud sponsor of INVAIN. The band is currently writing new material, touring the south, and searching for management, a booking agency, and a label.
