Writer and vocalist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Inspired by the Sex Pistols, Parrish formed the punk band The Human Rayz in 1982, followed by The Lower Chakras in 1985. In 1994, he joined the rock band The Irascibles in Alabama. He is now an author and a professor at Southern Connecticut State University.
