Steve Anderson (52)

Steve Anderson moved to Austin, Texas in the 1980s where he became part of the local punk scene. Anderson was the vocalist in Toxic Shock and also performed in the bands Cry Babies, Screws, and an early lineup of Scratch Acid. Anderson went on to become a brewmaster, working at Waterloo Brewing Company and Live Oak Brewing Company. He and wife Ellen Weed moved to West Texas, where he opened Big Bend Brewing Company in Alpine, Texas in 2012. Anderson died in Alpine in November 2015, age 53.
