DIRTY RAY/ DRUMS D-LAYD/ VOCALS NASTY/ GUITAR EMBRYO/ KEYBOARDS SINISTER/ BASS One of the most energetic groups in the fusion of alternative music styles, Bitchslap, was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, in 1999 by keyboardist, Embryo and his friend Sinister, on bass. Sinister's long time friends, George Wimmer, on guitar and Ray Donato, on drums were added to complete the foundation. The chemistry was instantly felt as the songs practically wrote themselves. There was just one missing piece and that was D-Layd on vocals. Sinister found him at a party one night flowing to any form of music thrown his way. An invitation to rehearsal was immediately given and after one session the band was complete. The sound taps into several musical genres, including metal, punk, industrial and hip hop. Aggressive guitar tones and D-Layd's massive hooks complimented by Embryo's hypnotic beats and Sinister's bass, keep the crowd moving and singing. The debut release "Imperfect" was recorded with engineer, Mike Strick at Digital Beach Studios, in Ft. Lauderdale. The goal was to capture the live energy on the CD.
