Étienne Pajeot

Étienne Pajeot (25 Jan 1791—24 Aug 1849) was a renowned French archetier and maker of bows, distinguished both for exquisite craftsmanship and technological innovations that profoundly impacted European bowmaking. Notably, he invented several types of "self-rehairing" frogs with metal underslides, very different from J.B. Vuillaume's design, and spearheaded some other techniques focused on reinforcing the bow's most delicate areas. Pajeot's workshop proliferated during his career, employing many other renowned French archetiers during his career.
