Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, she is a diverse Americana singer/songwriter with jazz influences, who has a warm and attractive voice, and performs music that is jazzy but crosses into other musical genres at times. She writes most of the songs herself and sometimes uses instruments not generally associated with jazz such as a Dobro and a pedal steel guitar.
