Spacer is a three piece alternative rock band based in Sydney, Australia. The currently unsigned trio has been regularly gigging at inner city venues since the late 90’s, supporting the likes of Skunkhour, Weta, Nitocris and Kim Salmon. Spacer’s debut EP “Green Apple Tea” (2000) was well received, gaining airplay on JJJ, MMM and FBi, and another song “some kind” was included on the Grow Your Own 5 compilation the same year. Having taken a break from Sydney and checking out the UK scene for a couple of years, Spacer is back with a new bass player and ready to entertain the masses once again. Since hitting the live scene once more in late 2005 Spacer has played at the Cat & Fiddle, The Vic on the Park, the Sando, the Marquee, and Spectrum. Spacer consists of Sam Perdriau on guitar and lead vocals, Mal Green on drums and Saxon Smith on bass and vocals. The three have formed a strong songwriting partnership, which has lead to an extensive set list.
