Emerging talent Mella from Neer has been making music for years and has sung and performed in various dialect plays. When she moved to Zandhoven, Belgium, she only started writing quirky songs in Limburgish herself. In 2017 she entered the song contest "Kirchroa jeet plat" and she won it to her own surprise. She landed a professional recording with Marlstone Music: "Plat". With that track she came out of nowhere in April of this year in fourth place in the top ten of regional channel L1.
