Pianist from Waco, Texas, born June 7, 1932 and died January 10, 2012 at age 79. Hollingsworth began playing piano for Western Swing bands at age 14, playing in the Waco, Houston, Dallas, and Austin area. He worked for Dewey Groom in Dallas in the early 1950s. In 1955, he worked for Tommy Allsup in Lawton, Oklahoma and then moved onto Springfield, Missouri to work on the Red Foley's Ozark Jubilee. He joined the Miller Brothers for four years and afterward returned to the Waco area in the early 1960's to tour with Bob Wills, Leon Rausch, Tommy Duncan and Johnny Gimble. He also played piano for The Texas Playboys II, Tommy Morrell, and Johnny and Dick Gimble.
