Dixieland Rednecks

Jazz band from Gothenburg, Sweden. The band was formed to enter the Gothenburg Jazz Competition in 2008. Initially named the "Dixie Revival Jazz Band”, it got its present name "Dixieland Rednecks” in time for the 2009 competition when Ingemar Wågerman also joined in on the piano. Entering the competition for the third time, they won in 2010 before a jubilant audience. Their musical ideals are swinging Chicago dixieland and the revival jazz of the fifties and sixties.
