The back of the jacket contained the following writeup: "Danny Mack, who blows most any ax made of brass like he invented it, is a musical rarity--a young man that has sounds in his ear that were old before he was born. He is a "natural"; he was born that way. He had to learn what to do with his mouth and his fingers to get these sounds out of a horn, but the sounds were already in his head -- even if he didn't know it. Above all, he is a performer that loves an audience the way a polar bear loves ice. He belts out a vocal with the best of them and he could find fun in a hanging."
