Horns. Artist entered based on information on Basin Street Five (1966). The back of the jacket contained the following writeup: "Tommy Stone may be the last of the really good traditional jazz "bass tenor" men because most of the young cats coming up are in the Coltrane bag. His command of the horn is phenomenal and his feeling for jazz phrasing is second to none I've heard. His work on the clarinet is in the tradition set by Johnnie Dodds but is strictly of his own flavor. In short, I love the way that man plays!"
