Montecristo was born of an explosive contrast of its mother San Diego, California, and its father Mexico. Derived from this mix in influences, attitudes, and rhythms, Montecristo is now responsible for a very innovative style of Spanish alternative rock. Since its birth in 2006, Montecristo has conquered varied masses and has shared stages with many now legendary and renowned artists such as Kalimba, Allison, Motel, Vilma Palma, Enanitos Verdes, Paty Cantu, Belinda, Gloria Trevi, Christian Castro, Maldita Vecindad, El Tri, a U.S. West coast tour with Spanish rock legend Miguel Mateos, and the American Legends like "The Wailers". In the summer of 2008, Montecristo launches its first album entitled "Brindis a la Vida”, taking by surprise the 'Latin Alternative Indie Charts' arriving at number four and holding its position for 20 consecutive weeks! Montecristo since have been on their tours 2008-2009 and Spring 2010 West Coast Tour which have captivated and won over audiences in the cities of Chicago, Aurora, Waukegan, Phoenix, Vegas, San Francisco, San Jose, Richmond, Ventura, Los Angeles, San Diego, Tijuana and Rosarito Mexico. Currently, after years on break from the stages working on new show and music, Montecristo is now ready for their next concert tour!!
