Chicago, Illinois A band of diverse reputation, BMC play a cerebral postmodern popadelia that has been described as "roll music". Ranging in influence from Radiohead to Paul Simon to Gershwin and back to Radiohead, BMC have spearheaded the Near Audio Panic movement, an offshoot of an itself-fledgling "twee" movement. Their debut album, 2000's On A Rolling Doughnut (Whakstax), became an esoteric favorite among Chicago and regional listeners.
