Andreas Kreischer

Agent-I is Andreas Kreischer. Coming from a family where music is a way of life Andreas started playing the violin at a very tender age. However it was in his early teens that he discovered the drums as his passion. in the nineties Andreas was involved in the local music scene in his hometown of Linz, Austria, performing and recording with various Rock and Experimental groups. Then in 1997 he started playing the Didgeridoo which opened a whole new world for him, but it was his extensive travels through Asia, Australia, the South pacific and South America that changed his outlook on life forever. Along with that came his unique take on world music. Finally it all came together here on the west coast of Canada resulting in his CD: Agent-i down to earth, which is a rich blend of rhythmic and ambient flavours, world-music with an urban twist. Also included in his repertoire is a stint with the Velvet Collective, Super Deluxe Mode, collaborations with experimental electronic musicians, Didgeridoo-lessons, Reiki & Soundhealing sessions with his wife Dionne,live accompaniment for modern dance and yoga classes and not to forget his lively street performances on drums & didgeridoo in downtown Victoria. Currently he is actively involved with The Global Lounge, a local World music group. The Global Lounge is featuring amongst others Ken Hall and Enrique Rivas.
