Craig Addesso: VOCALS Rob Benaquista: GUITAR Erik: GUITAR Jared Sihlanick: BASS Thomas Bickford: DRUMS/PERCUSSION Drift was founded by Thomas Bickford and Craig Addesso in 1994 in Bergen County, New Jersey under the name Dementia. As a three piece act they put their emotions and aggressions into thier music, laying a foundation of what would soon build into the sound that is created today. Touring extensively around the New Jersey, New York, tri-state area, Dementia built a solid fan base opening for such acts as Sevendust and Dayinthelife, just to name a few. Several years passed and the name has changed from what was once Dementia which has now revamped and contains the four founding members of what is Drift today. When performing together either live or in the studio we push with a drive unlike no other and all play with the raw passion and emotion of the way the music makes us feel. Each member makes up a great portion of what Drift is... We do not confide in any boundry of any single genre, the way we express ourselves as individuals and musicians is heard clearly in the music we pour out. The styles we range in flow endlessly from; vocals that have melodic, emotionfilled, agressiveness, which builds into a gritty, powerful, edgy scream as his lyrcis potray moments of life we all feel, frustration and anger to the overcoming of its negativity and rigid path; a rugged, metal edged, melodic guitarist, who's life is heard in the chords and progressions that build from a distant pulse to a punch in the face; a slap-happy funk and rock influenced bassist whose patterns of playing is diverse in its self; and a percussionist whose beats and rythms range from a flowing jazz feel, to a hip-hop and heavy tribal hardcore crossbreed which lays the foundation; all these invidual diverse pieces come together to produce the sound and feel of what Drift is about.
