July 3, 1949 - August 9, 2019 He enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1971-73, where he continued to play tuba in the Army band. He attended Fresno State College on a music scholarship, graduating in 1976. Following this, he moved his young family to Madison, Wisconsin, to pursue graduate studies in music at UW-Madison.In 1981, he married his second wife Cheryl. They relocated to Hong Kong, where he worked as principal tubist and she as principal French horn for twelve years with the Hong Kong Philharmonic. After their time in Hong Kong, Jeff and Cheryl moved to St. Louis, Missouri where they founded the business Cheryl's Herbs, for which they worked passionately and tirelessly. They also pursued extensive freelance music careers. Jeff performed frequently with the St. Louis Symphony, The Great Flood Band, The Compton Heights band, and Gateway Brass, of which he was a founding member.
