Gerry "Phareaux" Felton

Guitarist Gerry “Phareaux” Felton was born in Houston, Texas on December 26, 1948. He grew up in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where he began his musical career. He first moved to Austin in 1976 with the band Eveready and again in 1980. He was co-leader of roots rock band The Commandos and an original member of Omar & The Howlers. Felton moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in the early 1990s and died at home on January 21, 2007.
