Located in Spokane, WA the theater originally opened in 1915 as the Clemmer Theatre and was purchased by Universal Studios in 1925. In 1929 the theater was sold and renamed the Audian for 2 more years before being sold again. In 1931 the theater was renamed the State Theater operating under this name for the next 50+ years. The theater closed in 1985 until it was purchased by the Metropolitan Mortgage Company, renovated and reopened in 1988 as the Metropolitan Theater of Performing Arts. After the company went out of business in 2004 it continued operating under this name through the aid of a local businessman until 2006 when a citizen's group raised funds and successfully renamed the venue as The Bing Crosby Theater which it has operated under ever since. GVD Commercial Properties, Inc currently owns the property.
