Est. 2017 in New York, "201a Records" is a not-for-profit independent record label & booking agency which first specialized in promoting the Best indie artists from the underground NYC scene. It was founded in response to mainstream record stores/labels/radios & well-known music blogs's stranglehold on the music industry. "201a Records" considers that determining which music should be talked about and promoted according to how much money is paid through PR/management companies and record labels is an unethical and unhealthy practice that leaves no room for a grassroots scene to develop naturally. 201a strongly opposes this practice and has, since, opened its doors to musicians of all kinds from all over the world. 201a is neither about money nor connections, but about art and true talent. "201a Records" is now based in France, New York, and Los Angeles.
