Originally founded in Iceland in 1981 as Rauða Plánetan (Red Planet in Icelandic) changed name to HEL ca 1985/7. Mostly active on the cassette exchange network and released only cassettes until 1997 mostly compilations of cassette network artists. Since 1997 has only released CD-R's. Relocated to the UK in 2000.
