Masterdome
Настоящее имя: Masterdome
Concert, sports and rave venue in San Bernardino, California which was condemned and closed on August 2, 2001.
The venue featured a large indoor boxing arena setting, full sized bleachers on both sides of the dance floor, a large balcony at the front portion of the venue, with a large stage filled with massive concert audio, intelligent lighting, colored scanning lasers and video.
It opened in 1938 as the San Bernardino Athletic Club as a venue for professional wrestling and had many name changes over the years, including San Bernardino Arena. The name was changed to the Masterdome in 1996 when it became a venue for concerts and raves.
In early 1999, during a concert featuring the bands Napalm Death and Neurosis, a 14-year-old made an attempt to stage dive and crowd surf causing him to fall on the concrete, severely damaging his spine, he died a day later. This was the only death in the history of the arena.
