General Record Co., Ltd. (Japanese: ゼネラルレコード株式会社) is a Japanese record company. In August 1958, the former employees of Nippon Polydor Chikuonki Co., Ltd. established Nippon Polydor Chikuonki K.K. In April 1959, the company changed its name to General Record Co., Ltd. due to a dispute with Nippon Grammophon Co., Ltd., which owned the Polydor trademark.
