Chuck's Cellar

Live music venue in Los Altos, CA. Larry Hancock created Chuck's Cellar in the late 1960s, drawing headliners ranging from the Kingston Trio to John Stewart, who recorded part of an album there.
In 1971, Linda Ronstadt put together a backup band to play a gig there. The members Randy Meisner, Don Henley and Glenn Frey got along well enough to later form [a255680].
It closed in 1985, but the building still exists as a restaurant, and is considered by many an historical landmark.
