Manticore Cinema, London

Former ABC/Regal cinema in Fulham/Walham Green area of South-West London built in 1935. Bought by [a39765] as a site for their Manticore label and Manticore Records Ltd. record company. Cinema space converted into a recording and rehearsal space. Used by ELP and other acts, in particular [a34278], who rehearsed at Manticore for their 1977 US tour. Many Zeppelin rehearsal images from this period were taken at Manticore. Building was later disposed of by ELP/Manticore Records Ltd, becoming retail space before being demolished in 1984. Site currently used as a Waitrose supermarket.
