It is a Brazilian radio station (FM 89.7 MHz) based in the city of São Paulo, capital of the state of the same name.
Since its inauguration in 1977 it had programming with adult music until September 1989 (it included retransmission by part of Rádio Record AM). From October 1989 to 1996: youth programming (dance, black, pop, reggae). In March 1996 he started to transmit adult-contemporary music. From June 1, 2000 he started to dedicate himself exclusively to MPB (Brazilian Popular Music).
Released on June 27, 1977 by Paulo Machado de Carvalho and Silvio Santos as FM Record. In June 1989 it was sold to the Organizations Sol Panamby, owned by businessman and politician Orestes Quércia, and was then renamed Nova FM Record. In 1992, he began to attend only by the name of Nova FM, maintaining his youthful programming. After the purchase of Manchete FM network stations (including another FM frequency in São Paulo), Nova FM changed its name to NovaBrasil FM.
