Mod80s Disco

Mod80s Disco launched as a monthly 80s night in Oakland, CA in January 2020, and record label in April 2020 as a way to continue promoting 80s alternative music and subculture during the COVID-19 pandemic. Oakland native and founder, Raquel Jimenez, created Mod80s for the love of music, and the desire to connect with like minded conscious, alternative, 80s fanatics in the East Bay. The Mod80s community strives to build an 80s alternative cultural scene that welcomes all of Oakland's diversity, and features local artists of color immersed in the alternative 80s music genres: new wave, synthpop, darkwave, postpunk, freestyle, and rock en español. The label currently features DJ collaborative duo West End Boyz Edits (WEBE).
