Slow Notes

The Slow Notes series was music written and released March-May 2020, focused on gentle beatless tones to aid reading, study or contemplation. The original brief was for one or two sound sources which could be sent to one or two effects, with very slow attack times so as not to intrude on whatever mental processes were paramount for the listener. All proceeds would go to charity or mutual aid projects. Making the best/most of limited resources and losing yourself in those limitations, while trying to effect a little positive change in the world, seemed to form a resonant allegory for (and antidote to) Covid lockdown.
