Originally built in the 11th century and dedicated to Saint James the Great, the church was reconstructed in the Gothic style in the 15th and 16th centuries and dedicated to Saint Christopher as the second patron in 1510.
The church is famous for its organ, built by Louis-Alexandre Clicquot (Paris, 1684 - Paris, 25 January 1760) in 1734. It's the oldest organ in Île-de-France still in use.
