Felt Records was founded in California in 2000 by Jason Grisell. It is focused on the release of limited runs of cds and vinyl, with handcrafted cover art and packaging. The music encompasses folk, experimental, field recordings, and electronic. In 2001, label operations were moved to Brooklyn, New York, where the label is run by Jason Grisell and Christopher LaRose.
