State publishing house of the German Democratic Republic specialized in publishing works on military history, science and technology. Formerly known as Verlag des Ministeriums für Nationale Verteidigung (1956-1960), Deutscher Militärverlag (1960-1973). In 1990 the company was split and the publishing activities continued under the name Brandenburgisches Verlagshaus.
