Historical venue in Eunice, Louisiana, USA, formally known as Liberty Center for the Performing Arts (since 1987). It was originally a vaudeville silent movie house which opened its doors for the first time on 19 July 1924 as "New Liberty Theatre." After fifty-eight years as a movie theatre, it closed its doors on 3 January 1982. In 1986, the theatre was purchased by the City of Eunice, and it was renovated through a community restoration project. It reopened its doors on 11 July 1987, debuting the "Rendez-vous des Cajuns" show, which continued until the coronavirus pandemic prompted a ban on large public gatherings in March 2020. Since then, the building has been closed for renovations, due to issues with heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system.
