Supesharu Recordings

Supesharu Recordings is a record label with an ambition to distribute special songs on vinyl from today’s most innovative electronic music producers. The goal is to present those releasing music on the label as artists, creative individuals that invariably express themselves in a variety of media. To this end, each single released on Supesharu will include a limited edition run of specially packaged records featuring a variety of exclusive artworks created by the artist as well as a video representation of the music. Label operations are based out of Toronto, Canada and are managed by Justin Fong and Alan Webb. Justin and Alan met while studying architecture and have carried out several creative projects, most notably with several like-minded, design-intensive friends under the umbrella of the wabi collective. With wabi, they have organized events, best described as "aural/visual/spatial" experiences, featuring performers such as: T.Raumschmiere, DJ Krush, Mouse on Mars, Sutekh, Royksopp, Mum, Pan American and many other local and international guests. The origin of the Supesharu label stems partly from their involvement as members of the wabi collective, partly from their keen interest in electronic music and mostly from their desire to create something special.
