Attenborough Centre For The Creative Arts
Настоящее имя: Attenborough Centre For The Creative Arts
Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts in Brighton (UK) is an interdisciplinary arts hub connecting University of Sussex with wider regional, national and international arts communities. It hosts a state-of-the-art flexible auditorium with up to 350 seats (480 standing), studio areas, rehearsal spaces and meeting rooms. The centre presents a seasonal programme of performance, dance, live art, film, music, discussion & debate and digital practices.
The building takes its new title in tribute of the University’s former Chancellor Lord (Richard) Attenborough. It was opened as the Gardner Arts Centre as part of University of Sussex campus in 1969 and originally was designed by Sir Basil Spence. After a nine-year period of renovation and refurbishment, the building was reopened to the public in 2016.
