Megaphone Cassette Special

A Megaphone Cassette Special is an imprint of Baltimore-based independent label Megaphone Records, started by Jason Willett around 2012 for cassette reissues, distributed exclusively by his record store The True Vine, Baltimore, MD. The series started with 4286738, a reissue of '93 mono 8-bit "sampler/mixtape" album by a renowned electronic duo Matmos. A compilation of Matmos rarities, remixes, and unreleased live excerpts, As a Young Man I Travelled the Library, followed in 2015. Megaphone Cassette Special released two out-of-print albums by Vicki Bennett (People Like Us), a British collage/cut-up experimental musician, in April 2015. Megaphone/True Vine also released 8004237 tape with unreleased material by The Attitude Robots, Willett's trio with [a718279] and Benb Gallaher, in 2016, distributed via The True Vine and Crass Lips Records.
